Autumn + Phillip = Fairytale Wedding!

By admin | July 14, 2008

Wow, where to even begin…

I knew after talking to Autumns mom, before they even hired me, that Autumn & Phillip and their families would be amazing. What I didn’t know, was how amazing, and that the word amazing doesn’t really even begin to describe them. When I met with them, I just loved them. When I met Phillip at the engagement session - I was just completely wowed by their relationship. They’re just so perfectly suited for each other, I don’t think you could find a more perfect match. They’re both beautiful, inside & out, they’re passionate, and two of the most fun people you could ever be around.

Their beautiful wedding took place at the Lookout Mountain Fairyland Club in Lookout Mountain, Georgia. I think it might be my favorite location ever. It’s a beautiful castle like building on top of the mountain, right on the bluff, with one of the most gorgeous views you could ever imagine. Giant rocks and little cottages sculpt the landscape along with the beautiful green fields that complete the fairy tale look. The huge Tudor Style ballroom is absolutely perfect for a wedding reception. Their ceremony was outside, on the lawn, in a field surrounded by giant boulders. No detail was overlooked, strands of flowers hung from the tree branches, the bridesmaids wore gorgeous copper and chocolate colored dresses, the flower “fairies” wore dainty little white wings, everything was stunning… simply amazing. In the reception hall each table was decorated with leaves and a photo from their engagement session, the cakes were both incredible - but Phillip had the most fitting and creative grooms cake I’ve ever seen. He recently graduated from West Point and will soon enter the army as a Second Lieutenant - his grooms cake was made of Reeses Peanut butter cups and was covered in little chocolate dipped army men, it rested on a pile of graham cracker crust “sand” and had a chocolate colored tank sitting next to it. Every detail was just… them, beautifully, incredibly, them.

Autumn looked absolutely stunning in her dress, she has an incredible variety of looks and expressions that would make models and actors envious - she is amazing to photograph. Phillip looked like he walked out of a WW2 movie in his Army uniform. They’re both classically beautiful and, as you’ll see from the images below, it was pretty natural to go with a vintage, “Off to War” kind of look. While we’ll all pray that Phillip never has to go to war, they pull off the look perfectly. It was incredible having the time to spend with them that I did, it made a huge difference and allowed for a lot of creativity.

Autumn & Phillip, I adore you guys, but you know that. You guys will always have a very special place in my heart. Your friends and families were all amazing to be around and to get to know. Your wedding was stunning, emotional, and so very well planned. I wish the two of you nothing but the best in life, you deserve every happiness. I love how close you are with your families, how much you all obviously love each other, and how amazing all your friends are. You’re just surrounded by loving, caring, and wonderful people.

Also, a HUGE thanks to Lisette Price of Lisette Price Photography located int he Columbus, Georgia; Phenix City, Alabama area for coming all the way up here to photograph Autumn & Phillips Wedding with me. She was absolutely wonderful to work with and captured some amazing images, which I’m sure she’ll post on her blog soon, as well.

Enjoy your sneak peek, it was sooooo difficult to narrow it down this far because there are so many amazing images from your wedding day :) I’ll do my best to post a slideshow soon, since this can’t even begin to cover it all!

The Stunning Bride…

The Gorgeous Bridesmaids…

The Handsome Men…

Phillip loved these next two when I showed him on the back of the camera - because they’re reminiscent of the old Army General style images.

The Flower Fairy, and the one who refused to wear her wings :)

Married :)

And, the Fairytale Castle…

The amazing grooms cake…

The gorgeous Ballroom at the Fairyland Club.

The first dance.

Lots of tears flowed during the father-daughter dance, you can tell how close they are.

Phillip is most definitely his mothers son, the same gorgeous looks and an incredible bond.

I looove this image!

Fun dancing with off-camera flash. So much fun!

It’s not often that I have the opportunity to follow a couple back to their honeymoon suite and capture such a sweet moment.

I hope you guys enjoyed your honeymoon! I’ll let you know as soon as I have your gallery ready!
